Scrumptious Calcium Bombs
These delicious treats are packed full of calcium and taste great. They're quick and easy to make and eat - this recipe makes only eaight, so I think you would probably want to double it (at least!)Where possible, ingredients should be organic (this is especially important for the apricots - organic taste very different and much nicer than conventional).
Ingredients:
1/4 cup dried apricots, packed loosely
2 medium dried figs
1 (generous) tbsp almonds (raw, not roasted)
raw carob powder as needed
Instructions:
Put the almonds in a food processor and pulse chop to a granular consistency, then add the dried fruit. Pulse chop, stopping to scrape down the sides of the food processor (can also use a blender). When the ingredients are well combined into a sticky mess, take heaping teaspoons of mixture and form into balls, then roll in carob powder. Place in the fridge to firm (Or eat then!)
And it's as simple as that!
